For optimum performance, filters require periodic replacement dependent on use, type, and level of impurities in local water. Replace the filter cartridge when the first of the following occurs:

• When the unit's rated capacity is reached
• At least once a year
• The flow rate diminishes
• The filter becomes saturated with bad tastes and odors
